RECELLULAR TO RECYCLE OR RESELL 4 MILLION PHONES IN 2007
Refurbished products and collection programs showcased at CES booth 35525
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7 – ReCellular, a pioneering cell phone refurbishing and recycling company, is offering two promotional drawings at the International Consumer Electronics Show to showcase its innovative programs for collecting and refurbishing used cell phones. Drawings for three $200 Best Buy gift cards highlight the company’s nationwide network for collecting used cell phones. A drawing for two like-new Palm Treo 650 handsets highlights ReCellular’s line of refurbished cell phones available for wholesale to companies around the world.
ReCellular expects to collect more than 4 million used cell phones in 2007, making it the world’s largest recycler and reseller of wireless handsets and accessories. ReCellular offers consumers a number of ways to securely and conveniently recycle the estimated 130 million cell phones that are retired each year in the U.S.
At www.recellulartradein.com, consumers can earn up to $50 in Best Buy digital dollars by recycling their cell phones, based on phone model. In addition, ReCellular has more than 40,000 drop-off sites in wireless retailers, manufacturers and carriers across the U.S. where consumers can donate their cell phones to charity. ReCellular expects the program to raise over $5 million for charities in 2007.
