Green-e: Renewable Electricity Certificate Program

According to the Center for Natural Resources, "Electricity generation is the leading cause of industrial air pollution in the United States. Most of the electricity comes from coal, nuclear, and other non-renewable resources." Further, energy produced from these non-renewable resources causes severe environmental damage, contaminating our land, air and water.

To continue our dedication to environmental issues, ReCellular has offset 100% of our electricity generation with a clean renewable energy source, wind.

According to the Center for Resource Solutions, "The uneven heating of the Earth due to the planet's daily rotations creates wind. Wind can be captured by turbines and converted into electricity. This is the cheapest, and fastest growing, renewable energy technology."

All of the renewable energy purchased is Green-e certified renewable energy certificates (RECs). ReCellular's annual 708 (MWh) commitment to green power prevents the emission of 443 tons of greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere. The prevention of these emissions is equivalent to planting over 369 acres of trees OR removing 96 cars from the road each year!
